You know that this week is supposed to be your spring holiday week, but as we are on a long-lasting quarantine, I'm sure you could do some tasks that we never have enough time to do when we are at school. So, it is a great opportunity for you not to be bored and have more practice. There is no need to send me your feedback if you don't want to. If you do, or if you have any questions, you're always welcome :)

QUARANTINE TASK 13.03

1. Here are a few links to the videos on Passive Voice. Watch them in the order I post them and do the activity offered in the last one in your exercise books.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXRFWN17HQU

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-K_eKC76jn4

2. Learn the text "Entertainment" which we wrote as a dictation. The e-version is here:

Entertainment

There is a proverb: “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. People get tired of daily routine and need to relax. There are various kinds of entertainment to help them switch off.
Some people are fond of art. Drawing, painting watercolours, wood carving, pottery and ice sculpting inspire them to visit museums or galleries and even create their own masterpieces.
Others enjoy being part of the audience at the cinema or theatre. Spectacular special effects and stunts in some films keep us on the edge of our seats. Talented actors, mime artists and opera singers have long rehearsals to impress us with their performances on the stage. If the critics’ reviews say that the cast deserve to be nominated for an award, you should book tickets for such a film or play and you won’t regret spending your time or money in this way. It is sometimes even worth going to the circus to watch magicians do magic tricks and trapeze artists swing in the air.
I would also like to mention digital photography. It is a modern kind of entertainment which can be combined with travelling and is surely more creative than just watching another episode of a boring soap opera or series.
Whatever free-time occupation you choose, it should bring you satisfaction.
